What to do if you are not satisfied with  your item:

cancelling an order

1. Should you wish to cancel an order then you can do so prior to despatch. Please call us as soon as possible on 01273 472500 or email us at sales@thefineartcompany.co.uk with your name and what you ordered. No order number is required.

faulty products

1. In the unlikely instance that you receive a product from us that is faulty please telephone us on 01273 472500, explain the problem, and we will advise you about what action to take. Please keep hold of all original packaging.

Unframed Prints

1. We give you a full 7 working days from delivery (ignore weekends and public holidays) to make your mind up about an unframed item. If you are not satisfied and want to return your order you must let us know, by fax, letter or email within this period.

2. Unless items are faulty or damaged in transit, you are responsible for the cost of returning any unwanted items. When you contact us we will discuss with you the most cost effective method of returning the goods.

3. If you ask us to arrange for the collection of any items for return we will do so. Whilst awaiting collection you must take good care of the items so that when they are returned to us they are in a re-saleable condition.

4. You will receive a full refund, less any collection costs incurred by us provided items are returned in good condition.

5. When sending goods back to us please re-use the original packaging and enclose your invoice.

6. Goods must be available for collection or returned to us within 21 days.

Framed Prints and Art on Canvas:

1. Our London Canvases and Custom Framed Prints are made to your specification, and because each item is often unique it is unlikely we will find another customer wanting exactly the same print, frame, colour, mount and glazing combination. For this reason we regret that we cannot accept the return of more than one framed item, again you have 7 working days from delivery to make up your mind about the item and the above terms apply. You will receive a full refund provided the item is returned in good condition.

2. If you are thinking about ordering several London photographs or canvases we suggest that you initially order one picture to approve the quality, before committing yourself to multiple items (although we are sure you will be delighted with the quality of our framing when you see it).

3. Bespoke prints, canvases and other products created for corporate projects and other customers are non-refundable, as they have been created to unique specifications. 

refunds on non-UK orders

1. We regret that shipping costs incurred by us on non UK orders will not be refunded in the event of a return (unless the product arrives damaged). Your order will be refunded minus exact shipping costs.

What to do if your delivery arrives damaged

package obviously damaged

1. Please check your delivery carefully when it arrives. If the packaging is damaged and it is clear that the contents have also been damaged please refuse to accept delivery, or sign for it as 'damaged' or 'unchecked' in place of your signature. Then telephone us on 01273 472500 and let us know and we will dispatch a replacement. Please keep hold of all original packaging in case we need to collect the damaged item.

2. The Fine Art Company can't accept responsibility for damage caused to goods by the failure of clients redirecting goods to addresses other than the agreed delivery address. We recommend that customers take delivery of goods promptly as this will minimise risk of damage.

3. The Fine Art Company cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to goods sent to an incorrect address supplied by the customer. If you are unsure of an address or postcode, please check it first, and if you move house having placed and order, please notify us with the new details.

1. If the packaging is undamaged, please open the parcel and examine the contents. Sign for the delivery with the word 'unchecked' or 'damaged' in place of your signature. If you discover an item has been damaged in transit please let us know within 3 working days of delivery by telephoning us on 01273 472500. We will forward a replacement to you as quickly as possible. We regret that it will not be possible to give you a refund or replacement if damage is reported after 3 working days of the delivery.

Terms and Conditions

Our Agreement

This agreement is a legal document which sets out your rights and obligations, and those of The Fine Art Company, in relation to the superb services offered by us through this site or any of the other sites operated by The Fine Art Company Ltd.
 

Effect of this agreement
Viewing of The Fine Art Company site itself is of course free. When you register for the site, you agree to the terms of this agreement, and you re-affirm that agreement every time you use The Fine Art Company services and therefore we recommend you read this agreement.
 

Applicable law
The Fine Art Company Ltd. is a company registered in England, and every sale shall be deemed to be performed in England; English law shall govern each transaction, including (without limitation) all contractual and other relationships, which arise as a result of such sales. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any disputes arising out of any sale.
 

Making a contract with us
In return for our excellent service, we ask that you agree to register for Fine Art Company sales using your correct name, address and any other requested details. You may be asked to enter credit, debit or charge card details. You must ensure that (a) you are fully entitled to use that card at the time when you provide those details to The Fine Art Company, and when you use the card, and b) the card has available funds to cover all charges incurred on it in the course of buying from us. If any of the information you enter becomes incorrect or is superseded, then please notify us with the corrected information immediately. In any event, to register for The Fine Art Company services, you must legally be able to enter into contracts for goods and services that you may buy here. Generally, this means that you must be at least 18 years old and sane.
 

Misuse of our site
The Fine Art Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any members account which, is, or appears to us in our absolute discretion, to be, in breach of any of the provisions of this agreement. When will you be charged? Your credit or debit card will be debited when items are ready for dispatch or in the case of made to order items such as framed art prints, canvases and sculpture pedestals it will be debited when production is underway.
 

Tax & Duties
We have to charge VAT on all goods and services where applicable. If you would like your purchase to be delivered outside the European Union, you will automatically be responsible for paying all applicable duties. Corrections Descriptions of goods and services included on The Fine Art Company site are accurate to the best of our knowledge. We do our best to correct errors or omissions as soon as we become aware of them. Please bear in mind that colours and appearance of images, mounts and frames may vary very slightly from the way they appear on the screen. Also print sizes can vary slightly with each production run. If you need to know the precise dimensions of a product, please contact us.

Images, logos and designs used on The Fine Art Company website are the property of The Fine Art Company or their respective copyright owners, and are used by The Fine Art Company pursuant to express authorisation from copyright owners or their agents. You acknowledge that all copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in and relating to The Fine Art Company are vested in The Fine Art Company or our partners where appropriate. You must not use, reproduce, modify or distribute our images or any part of those images in any manner, whatsoever. In the event that there is any dispute between us in relation to this issue, you agree that until the matter is resolved, an interim injunction will be an appropriate remedy. An Interim injunction is a court order, which would prevent any further use or distribution of the image that we are concerned about, until a final court hearing where the court will make a decision on all the facts.
 

Loss
The Fine Art Company will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect or loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue, business or management time, howsoever caused. You also agree that the liability of The Fine Art Company under this agreement (whether arising in negligence or otherwise), will not under any circumstances exceed the greater of a) £500 or b) an amount equal to the sums paid or payable by you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Consequential Loss
In the event of consequential loss, The Fine Art Company can only be responsible for the cost of your order.
 

Reasonable Control
The Fine Art Company shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this agreement if caused by matters beyond our reasonable control. Changes to this Agreement The Fine Art Company reserves the right to change the terms of this agreement from time to time, and post a new version on our website. The new version will take effect from the day of posting on the site. Price and availability information are also subject to change without notice.

 

Severability
In the event that any term of this agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid by judicial decree or decision, the remainder of this agreement shall remain valid and enforceable.
